what bank card are you using? and which atm are you using to take out cash? If you're taking cash out from atms that don't belong to your original bank account there will always be a fee ranging from .50 to 1 JD

I've got a Monzo pre-pad card, so it's not affiliated to any Jordanian banks!

Right right I get you. well, there isn't a way around it. Any ATM you use where the card isn't affiliated with the bank there would be a transaction fee. My advice would be either get yourself a bank account in Jordan, or once you go to take out cash, take out enough to to sustain you the entire month and that way you would save up on transaction fees which you would be paying in that situation once a month.
